Hope you are all having a great day. Today we are going to talk about a Fiesta Rug run. We are going to start with the process of making a Fiesta Rug. It entails making what they call a run of the colors that go into the Fiesta Rug. We call this the Fiesta Rug because of the bright and bold colors that it is made with. Upholstery Selvedge

We are very excited to be bringing you daily blogging. At In-Weave, we make hand-woven rugs which are not only unique but are easy to care for as well. As you have seen in the prior post, we receive a truck load of "upholstery selvedges" in bags. After they are unloaded, they are put in storage containers. When we are in need of looking for specific colors or just in need of more selvedge, we take the bags out of the storage containers.
Truck Came

The Truck Came!!! We get our "trimmings truck" twice a year. Once in the early spring and another one in late summer. This truck is full of bags of upholstery trimmings. The bags are stacked to the top front to back. Once the trailer is backed into the appropriate space we then unload each bag (weighing 65-85 pounds) by hand into our storage containers. This particular truck load took about three hours with four people to unload.

This fabric is from the selvedge of upholstery fabric with fiber content of polyester, rayon and cotton. Next, the fabric is wound on the 4 foot long shuttles...
