Yesterday we blogged about why our rugs are unique and we will continue more on that subject today. Yes, our rugs are machine washable. They wash up great. We suggest to line dry them since they are woven very tightly. It would take a long time to dry in the dryer. However, once it has dried you can put it in the dryer to fluff. This makes the upholstery selvedge come back to life and look like the day you bought it. When you look at the larger sized rugs, you would want to take them to a laundromat where they offer a 70 lb. washing machine. Since they are hand woven, you can also take them outside and beat them as in the olden days or you can hose it off and leave it dry. Whatever way you choose, they still turn out great. Another good point, they are reversible. When one side gets dingy, just turn it over. This means you do not have to wash it as often. Have a great evening and we will be back tomorrow with more.
